To start the week of scary here at The Cedar Journal I promised that I would post our scary cemetery story on the week of Halloween. I now realize that a great deal of travel and other scary stuff has happened to me since then and so by the end of the week this may just seem like cool photos of a nice Scottish Cemetery.
The 2019 first edition of humm…
This will be the last of our Scottish vacation blogs. Now, only a distant memory. In our final two days, we spent driving the backroads through the beautiful highland countrysides.
We started off our day from our lodging in Daviot. Making our way through downtown Inverness to our Cruise boat start point at Dochgarroch Lock on the River Ness.
While planning for this vacation I had hoped to find a way to kayak or fly fish. Once the kayak idea evaporated due to scheduling and logistics I started looking into fly fishing. How cool would it be to say I fly fished in Scotland!
We started out on our second day of our Scottish Highland vacation with a down pour of rain. We had planned for rain, and coming from The Netherlands where it is rainy a majority of time we never alter our plans for rain. We just dress for it and go on!
We started out early on Sunday morning heading to the stones…Just a short drive down the road is the Culloden Battlefield.
