I slip out of bed as I watch the sun peek up over the ridge of the lake and the light starts to flood the lake with early morning light.

I think it has been obvious in the past few weeks that something was not exactly right here at The Cedar Journal. My weekly blogs and kayak adventures seemed to come to a halt. Some very personal stuff entered into the picture and I am now willing to share some of that with you my readers.
Enough! I say lets protest! If my message isn’t clear enough I am going over the boarder to Canada before it gets worst. I may have to paddle all the way back to the Netherlands! My family has two well trained project managers who can’t even get me a truck with a hitch on it due to current breakdown. I am modifying my Dutch bike and gearing it up so that I can tow my light trailer in case Don- deal is BAD!
There are 15 organized well marked routes and one of those routes went into the small medieval town of Nieuwpoort (Route 1a) located along the banks of the Lek River.
Just getting to the Biesbosch National Park is an adventure of sorts.
Instantly, we both knew this launch point was very shallow.
