Yesterday I travelled by train to visit the Lentetuin Breezand. This yearly flower show is organized by local bulb growers to showcase the bulbs grown in the local area around Breezand.
It was a perfect day to travel to an inside flower show as the weather was cold and rainy outside. The last few weeks have been warm by normal February standards but stormy.
Here are a few pictures and a video clip of the show.

Lentetuin Breezand will continue until 2 March. Tickets are available for 7.50 Euro at the door or online.

Daffodils – my favorite flower, I think – are blooming in Maryland. I’ll see how far north they go as I travel that way today.

These wonderful flowers must have grown indoors. After all, it was still February when you visited this flower show in Breezand. The splendid colours bring cheer to my heart on this gray Friday morning.

Yes, they are all greenhouse bulbs. But, the warm weather has the bulb tulips fields about 3 inches out of the ground.

You would love it. Como Zoo is wonderful with their display but this one is spectacular!

Don’t know much about flowers (they have petals and not wings), but I do like the Tres Chic Festival Mix variety.

For a few minutes it seemed like Spring here too. Then I walked outside and experienced rain mixed with snow! I am so ready for some mild weather.

Oh, I think they are wonderfully creative! I always loved the clothing displays at the Keukenhof made out of florals. The Lentetuin in Breezand is always fun to attend as it is locals who put the entire yearly display on. Less of the commercialization of the Keukenhof.
