Hummm…Georgia

We are just off an entire night out (we almost never go out after dark) that made both the Hubby and myself rub our collective heads in Hummm.  It is always cheap entertainment to attend a Town Hall Meeting with politicians but it takes an all new level when it happens in The Netherlands with an US Ambassador.  No worries, that will be a future Hummm file when the time is just right.

For now the file needs to be emptied from the Georgia Mission Impossible trip.

I had done plenty of planning for the Mission Impossible trip in my hope to get some winter kayaking on my calendar. I had contacted Ocmulgee Outdoor Expeditions in Macon and Kathleen (the owner) and I were working on a plan to paddle the Ocmulgee River.   Since that wasn’t going to fit into my now limited time in Georgia I did go and check out the location where I could have paddled.  The small town of Juliette is where the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed and is where the Ocmulgee River has a nice kayak landing.

I thought that it was a bit strange to see that my first Hummm was in this small town.  Notice my feature photo. I had to wonder if the Whistlestop Cafe was really, for sale.

As I checked out the kayak landing I noticed a picnic table with a special message

A personal message, for me? Thanks, Juliette, GA! I needed it!

Onward to my prior undisclosed cabin on Lake Allatoona, A Navy Moral Welfare Recreation Site just North of Atlanta.  This location is not only run by the Navy for the health and welfare of sailors but is open to all military for some peace and quiet on a huge lake.  Whenever you deal with the military there are plenty of hummm.  Here are a couple.

First is the welcome sign.  Who says the Army and Navy can’t work together.  Hummm I did see that the Army got a much smaller scaled sign, but I was welcome all the same.

To make sure I knew it was a Navy facility, in case I had forgotten in my very short drive from the front gate to the cabin, I was welcomed with these.

Hummm... Not one but two Navy stickers welcoming me.

Hummm… Not one but two Navy stickers welcoming me.

The biggest hummm I had about my wonderful cabin was how the Navy thought it would be a great idea to have a cabin located right next to I-75!  If peace and relaxation was the purpose I have to tell everyone, well… just watch the clip to see how much sleep you think you would get in a cabin next to I-75.

The trip down from my AT summit also had another hummm message.

Hummm conflicting views but I know the one I choose.

Hummm… conflicting views but I know the one I choose.

The best Humm is always saved for last.  On my last day in Georgia the universe around Cartersville did not disappoint, when I saw this strange pizza delivery car zip past me with hand painted messages.  The car was full of every sticker known to man.  I am guessing the owner of the auto is one of the very special independent souls. Someone who wants to make sure the world knows exactly where they stand.  I always smile when I see these sorts, it makes me believe that the world is still big enough and open enough for all of us to express ourselves in our own way. Power to the people who can live their lives free with such passion. I didn’t get the picture of the stickers, but he pizza delivery car topper I couldn’t pass up when I saw the car parked later in town.

Kind of them to thank the Dinosaurs.

Hummm I am guessing they support a Green Economy.

Hummm Not sure what the message is here but I am guessing the Dinosaur is packing his bag to leave the planet. Hummm... Good Idea, maybe that is why Space Force is being implemented.

So, as you can see the strange and the wild of the Hummm file has now been passed to you our readers for your enjoyment and care.

With this personal message, No matter how rough the news is we will all become dinosaurs.

Have you seen any of the Hummm recently? Please leave your comments below as we would love to hear that we are not alone.
