It seems this age old problem doesn’t just enter into my life as we are packing for our canoe vacation. Just bring what we need. That isn’t always so easy to decide. Here in the Netherlands the weather can be nice and sunny and then a blazing cold windstorm within minutes. So you have to be prepared for all seasons, even in the middle of summer. It always makes packing a bit of a challenge.
Please check out one of the blogs I follow as she recently shared her packing tips. I think Cecilia has a really good approach.

For our camping trips, I keep a list of all the things needed. As the years go by, I regularly update and modify the list. Before we head out, I check off all the items and on our return, I do the same. It’s that simple and helps to avoid disappointments at the campsite.

We do too. The hubby works in a profession that lives by checklists so it bleeds over into our hobbies. Thanks as always for stopping and sharing your tips. Your last canoe camping looked awesome.

Reminds me of our winter birding trips to the Gulf Coast. One set of clothes to wear once we get down there and a completely different set to making it through the sub-zero weather to get down there and then stow away until the return trip. I am trying to perfect the art of layering and getting pretty good with our trips to Vegas – just need pick a common color (my go to layering color is grey) and just pack everything you have that goes with that color ha! Best of luck on your travels.
