We are currently busy planning, selecting items, packing and repacking for our upcoming road trip. Are you excited to find out where we are going?

Cedar waiting for another road trip.
Here is a photo of our planned route.

Planned Cedar Journal Route. Green arrows represent major stops. Pink represents line of travel.
We will attend the Dutch Open Canoe Fest at the very end of our travels. This is the second year we will participate. We are excited to see old friends and make new ones as we paddle around the waters of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park.
Then within days of our return, I will be flying alone to the US (the hubby still has to work) to drive the Great River Road along the Mississippi River from Minnesota to St Louis, Missouri. I have booked several Bed & Breakfast lodgings along the way so I am not really roughing it on that trip. Although, I will stay at a MN State Park cabin one night while I fly fish, isn’t that rough living?
To end my time in the states, I will be volunteering on a Forest Service Project with Passport in Time. It is a log cabin restoration project close to Ely Minnesota on Forest Service land. I wasn’t sure I was going to get selected for this project but was called yesterday. I am really excited to be able to help the Forest Service save some older log structures and live/work for about a week at a beautiful lake location close to Ely.
So, as all our blog readers can see, we have a busy couple of months. I can’t guarantee regular blogs of these adventures but be assured that we will have plenty of material to blog on through the winter months.
Hopefully we see some of our blog followers in our travels…until then safe travels.

Sounds exciting! We might actually be in the same state for a time as we are still trying to get Linda released from a big hospital in MN. By the way, I’m a big fan of Ely – I am actually big into Wolf re-introduction and we are a member of the National Wolf Foundation based out of there and had the pleasure of meeting a few of their captive subjects. Can’t wait to read all about your adventures (stay safe!),

We love Ely too! That wolf center is amazing although we didn’t get to see those shy creatures when we visited.
I am sure Linda will be released long before I reach MN in mid September. But, if not drop me a line and we all can have coffee.

I can hardly wait to read the recaps of your adventures! The Netherlands canoe trip sounds amazing. The US trip sounds amazing! I am green with jealousy, but I will try to contain it. Good luck! Have the best of adventures!
