Excitement is building for us as this our first Open Canoe Festival. We are seeing canoes arriving and tents going up.
We found that getting to the store is easier to paddle and dock right outside the store located next to the water than to take the car. We get in a nice short paddle and we can buy cool things to eat. The best lettuce we have had in a long time.

It was hard finding a parking place.

I had to get my gear all arranged to get out.

This is a one stop shop, post, ATM, food, and gear for camping.

They had what I needed!
Here is the posted schedule for the weekend. I sure wish they would post a detail list of the workshops they are conducting.

I can’t believe how many posts I was behind. I need to get my own production in gear, you are putting me to shame. Getting in a bit of Dutch education – does “opening”, “workshop”, “festival” and “demo” translate the same?

Not really on the Dutch- but they do have people from all over Europe coming in so they put just enough English in to make it understandable.
BTW- LOL you were a bit behind. Glad you are caught up now and as always thanks for following and commenting. Wait until next week to post a bird blog… please… I am busy this weekend. Haha

Greetings – A canoe is much easier to use at a dock than a kayak! But what a great way to shop. Your site thinks I am following it, but it doesn’t send me an e-mail to say when you’ve posted; I think it used to. Any idea what I can do about that? I’m much more likely to read it if I don’t have to go looking! So now next time I have internet, I need to go back and read some of the other posts…

If you go to my contact page you can send me your email or I also think you can place your email on the subscribe page. Let me know if it works as I don’t want to loose you as a follower.😊

I was going to comment on the schedule and smattering of English words, too, but saw your explanation above. You look happy! Looks like you’re in your element! This even must have drawn quite a crowd.

We just got home from the last busy week of vacation at the Canoe Festival. More to follow with better pictures and also proofread. Working from my phone and poor internet was not ideal. Thanks for stopping by and reading what I had posted.
